Scope of Practice
Physiotherapy plays an important role in the Canadian health care system. Within this system, physiotherapists work together with other health care providers including physicians, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers, speech pathologists, respiratory technicians and others. A physician’s referral is not required to receive physiotherapy treatment.
